Anastasia & Tony – Dream Destination Wedding in Playa del Carmen
November 11th, 2019 was a memorable day for two lovely people, Anastasia and Tony, and for Paradise Weddings and Events. We are so fortunate that we had the opportunity to be a part of their dream destination wedding in Playa del Carmen and witness two amazing people read their vows.
While the couple, with their bridal parties and dear family, were getting ready in the modern Thompson Beach House, I, together with the amazing team of vendors, set up the decorations for the ceremony and reception.
The talented Cherry Blossom created the charming flower décor, assembled with dried leaves, pampas, and white orchid. The team behind Minimal 4.0 was in charge of the rental furniture and reception set up. Together with the couple, during the planning process, we decided on going with a pop of blue and turquoise colors in the velvet lounge, and vintage tables with mix and match cross back and Louis XV chairs. We used the same idea for the guest table, where on every seat, we placed charger plates with Ratan and soft blue ceramic. The magnificent terrace in Villa la Joya was covered with fairytale lights and with a gorgeous floating candle display.
To a personal touch to their dream destination wedding in Playa del Carmen, the bride Anastasia designed the table numbers, placement cards, together with the menu and the welcome sign. We dedicate one special place to the bride and groom’s dearest in heaven.
As every wedding ceremony, this was emotional and special in its own way. They held the ceremony at the back lawn of the Villa with a breathtaking ocean view. All the guests were welcomed by the classical music rhythm of Francisco’s guitar and enjoyed refreshments before the ceremony. Anastasia and Tony will always remember this ceremony because of two things. One of them is that their marriage was officiated by their best friend Colin and the other emotional moment was when Anastasia’s daughters were walking down the aisle and pulled a cart with their 6 months old baby. Happy tears on my face, again!
Because of the bride and groom’s Italian and Mexican background, the Chef Gourmet Soberanis crafted a special menu for the bride and groom. Everything from the menu was so delicious and the guests got a chance to try different cuisine specialties. Besides the awesome music party by DJ Chuy, the guests were entertained by ‘Friday the Donkey’, the cigar roller and the Caricaturist. Plus, the guests could choose their branded coconuts as a nice wedding day favor. During the reception, the sax player Julio entertained the guests with beautiful tunes. One of my favorites was the espresso coffee station, with Mexican organic freshly brewed coffee with carajillos and sambucca.
The newlywed couple, together with their families and friends, enjoyed the reception and spend the night dancing on the dance floor. What was unique about this dream destination wedding in Riviera Maya was the super delicious menu, the different kinds of entertainment for the guests and the amazing coffee station. Take a look at their photos captured by the sweetest Fernando Ruiz Photography and let me know your favorite part.
Anastasia and Tony, thank you for having me as your wedding planner and letting me be a part of your beautiful wedding. I couldn’t have done all of this without the best vendor team. We wish you all the best as you embark on this new journey together! Lots of Love, Anna
